Precision Engineered: The AVI Intake Design Process
At ZAC Motorsport, our AVI cold air intakes are developed using cutting-edge 3D scanning, CAD modeling, and CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) analysis to ensure maximum airflow, optimal performance, and perfect fitment.
3D Scanning & CAD Development
We start by 3D scanning the engine bay and factory intake system, capturing precise dimensions to design an intake that fits seamlessly within OEM mounting points. Using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software, we create intake prototypes that optimize airflow pathways, filter positioning, and heat shielding for real-world performance gains.
CFD-Optimized Airflow
Once the design is complete, we use CFD simulation to analyze how air moves through the system. This ensures our vortex-inducing air filters and intake tubing promote smooth, high-velocity airflow with minimal turbulence, reducing pressure drop and improving turbo efficiency and throttle response.
Real-World Testing & Refinement
After digital validation, prototypes are manufactured and tested in real-world conditions, both on the dyno and the track, to confirm horsepower and torque gains, lower intake temperatures, and improved drivability. Every AVI intake is fine-tuned for maximum efficiency before production.
By combining advanced engineering with real-world motorsport experience, AVI intakes deliver superior performance, sound, and reliability—ensuring your engine gets the airflow it needs to perform at its best.
