Penrith local Supercar driver Jayden Ojeda has enjoyed a thrilling weekend in the GT3 races in the Fanatec GT World Challenge Australia at Phillip Island on the weekend.
Bathurst 6 Hour winner Jayden, who recently joined our team,for the 2023 GT World Challenge Australia, enjoyed 2 practice sessions on Friday before heading into qualifying come Saturday morning. Jayden lit up the Phillip Island circuit setting pole position in qualifying for race 2, with a 1m 27.4549s.
“To qualify first in the Pro session was amazing” said Jayden, “The car was awesome, the Volante Rosso crew did a great job and I felt like I improved on some of the area’s that I needed too improve after Perth. To drive a GT3 car around such a high speed track requires a lot of commitment and trust that the car while stick, so I am stoked.” he added.
“Amazing day for the team, 2nd overall for the round” said Jayden. “So excited we got the team’s best ever result in GT3, and I’m super happy with my weekend, still only my second time in this car” he added.
Sydney Motorsport Park beckons next for the Fanatec GT World Challenge Australia powered by AWS drivers and teams, as part of the Repco Supercars Championship event on July 28-30.
